Riverbend Publishing is an acclaimed independent publisher based in Helena, Montana. They publish history, memoirs, photography, outdoor guidebooks, and occasional fiction, cookbooks, and children’s books.
Riverbend approached me with a dated, static HTML website. They were unable to manage inventory or make simple changes to their products or pages, and more importantly: the site wasn’t designed with mobile and tablet users in mind.
I recommended the website be re-designed on Shopify. In order to make the project more cost-effictive, we used a Shopify theme as a jumping off point. Because each theme offers unique design and functionality, it was important to compare and consider Riverbend’s needs with each theme option.
I chose to use the Prestige theme, leveraging their mega menu, product filtering, and product tabs functionality. I made a number of customizations to tailor the design to fit Riverbend’s branding while also developing an entirely new site map and product organization method.
The site resulted in increased sales and an intuitive back-end management experience.
